Campaign Journal: Funded, Stretch Goals, International Shipping, and Videos

Dear Supporters,

Thank you so much for your generous support! I'm thrilled with how the campaign's going so far, that we funded in less than three hours, and that supporters are still signing up over a week in.

However, it was brought to my attention I'm not updating near enough! And I'm like, "Well I better get on that!" So here's what's happening lately:

Where We Stand

$7,688 pledged, 384%funded, 118 backers, 19 days to go. The trajectory of the campaign has stalled out, but there are plans in place to fix that. Like, for instance, sending you this update.

Stretch Goals

I know I mentioned this in the previous updated, but we've added a whole bunch of new Stretch Goal tiers to keep up momentum. Here they are again.

Marketing

My promo copies should be landing and there's word a prominent Instagram account may feature The Blue Beacon early next week. So I'm excited to see what happens.🤞🏼

Meanwhile, other marketing efforts continue as posts are sent out to friends, media outlets, subreddits, and Facebook groups. If you know of any places where The Blue Beacon should be featured or reviewed, let me know!

International Shipping

After some requests, I'm planning to add shipping options to the UK and EU. I'll keep you updated when that happens.

What's Next

There's work to do on this project every day. As some of my intial marketing wraps up, I'm looking for new places to send out press releases, making tweaks to the book for it's next print run, and today I'm making a video about Eola, The Blue Beacon's main character.

I'm actively updating folks in different platforms almost every day, so I'll try and be more active here and keep you folks in the loop. I'm hoping we reach some wild new levels in the coming weeks, and that's not possible without your amazing support. Thanks again!

WHAT THE HECK YOU GUYS IT'S ALREADY FUNDED

What a day! Dangnabbit, my friends, you've really come through.

Here's the update: The Blue Beacon funded in under three hours. Currently, we are 258% funded with 29 days to go in the campaign.

This means a first edition will happen, and while most of what I need is in place, it also means I have a lot of work ahead to prove out this project.

Now, you may be tempted to wonder: If The Blue Beacon is funded, why should I chip in? 

Well, for one, you still get all the awesome rewards associated with each funding level. For two, I'm adding Stretch Goals, or added incentives to keep momentum rolling.

In other words, the more we raise, the more each funder will get in return. Stickers, postcards, new editions...everything's on the table. The more successful this campaign gets, the more freedom I have to thank you for helping me reach these goals. We make enough on this thing, and maybe I can even get to work ASAP on Book 2.

In any case, thank you so much for all your support today. This was amazing and fun and I hope the other 29 days of this campaign hold more of the satisfaction and confirmation I feel today.
