Hi friends! 30 days (well, 31 since I didn't post yesterday) have passed since we launched this Kickstarter and I'm very pleased to announce The Blue Beacon is beyond fully-funded. Now comes the next step, but not before a little break.
I'll be back soon to hash out all the rest of this Kickstarter stuff. In the meantime, thanks again, and enjoy your Independence Day holiday!

Folks, we hit it. $10k! Whoazers!!!
Meeting this threshold officially unlocks the Bajo stickers for all supporters who ordered a printed copy of The Blue Beacon. It also unofficially unlocks another bonus, which is discussed in the following video:
Specifically, we stand at $10,191 pledged, 509% funded, $10,191, and 175 backers.

This campaign has 22 hours to go!
Currently, we stand at $9,638 pledged and 165 backers.
Apparently the last days of a campaign bring another spike, and orders are ticking in, so I'm feeling hopeful we'll reach that $10k mark before tomorrow morning. That threshold will unlock another sticker for everyone.
Here's another video I made for the final dash, which includes news of a change to the book's cover.

The cover change is that I'm giving the books a matte finish instead of glossy because while matte is priced higher, the aesthetic improvement is worth the cost. You now I'm all about quality.
In retrospect, I wouldn't have launched this campaign at 7:00 am because I don't really plan to be up to watch it finish. Like maybe a nice afternoon launch next time? And I do plan for there to be a next time...Kickstarter was a wonderful way to launch a book and I'd like to build off what I learned over the last few months.
Thank you for all your care and support! This process was a great joy and I'm beyond grateful for all of you. I'll try and check in again before the end!

Guys, we're almost there. 30 hours remain, orders are ticking in through the day, and we're on our way to $10k. I'm so psyched to wrap this up!
I'll have another update tomorrow morning, but for now I wanna give you this video about the four characters I'm most intrigued by in The Blue Beacon.
Also, one other call to action: if you have the time, post a comment about what you're most looking forward to about The Blue Beacon on our Kickstarter! A Kickstarter vet tells me copious comments help the algorithm. It may be late in the game, but I figure the experiment is worth the risk.

Friends, this Kickstarter is nearly complete! Here's a video from Rocky Butte. (Note: Rocky Butte is not in The Blue Beacon, but I want it to be in future ones.)
At 7:00 am on Thursday, the 30 day clock will run out. We’ve raised $9,000 and I’m hoping we can hit that $10k stretch goal, which will unlock a Bajo sticker for everyone!
I’m also planning on some additional add-ons, like a poster of the map, though I don’t wanna announce those yet.
Otherwise, the biggest announcement is that I'm heavily considering a matte finish to the cover instead of a glossy. This costs a bit more per copy, but I think it looks better. And this is a beautiful book which deserves to look its best.
