Today I'm gearing up for the final week of this campaign and organizing the back end of BackerKit, a service which will organize many of my post-campaign fullfillment needs.
There's a lot of work to do! So I'd better get back to it. In the meantime, here's a story talking through a few major aspects of my creative process:

Earlier this week my writing had to be directed elsewhere. But now I'm ready to buckle down through the final stage of this campaign!
We currently stand at $8,477 raised and 137 backers. 7 days remain.
Today here's a quick video about The Blue Beacon's biggest inspirations, from Redwall to Milo & Otis to feral cat clans.
The Blue Beacon now ships to the EU and UK.

Attention, Europe! This Kickstarter campaign now includes (most of) you!
To clarify, when I say Europe, I mean the European Union and the United Kingdom, combined. After some research, I settled on USPS International rates as the most reasonable way to get the book over the Atlantic. So I've added in shipping rates for the EU and UK. Thank you for your patience.🙏🏼
Requests for shipping outside the US and Canada is the most frequently asked question so far, and I'm glad to open up this project to other continents, as well. Just let me know!
That's it for now. Just wanted to alert you folks.
A Big Shoutout

The highlight of the campaign this week was getting a nice bit of promotion from my friend Mr. Bob Goff.
Bob is a NY Times bestselling author of Love Does, Everybody, Always., and Undistracted. He's just an absolutely treasure of a man, and I greatly appreciated him posting on Instagram and Twitter about The Blue Beacon.
Thanks, Bob!
Otherwise, only twelve days of this Kickstarter remain and things are going fast. I'm trying to devote time to proper marketing, but it's also time to gear up for fulfillment so I can get this book into your hands. There's still lots of work to do, and I'll keep you updated! Thank you so much for following along thus far.
Halfway Home: Three reasons I like Eola Lightstripe, The Blue Beacon's origins, and a new Reward Tier!

Dear Supporters,
This morning we crossed the $8k threshold, and tomorrow is the halfway mark of The Blue Beacon's Kickstarter campaign. Here's where the project currently stands:
$8,027 raised, 401% funded, 123 backers, 16 days to go.
I still have hopes for a big bump this week from a prominent poster, and that the press releases and gift copies I've scattered out there will take root.
Meanwhile, only one of the 30 original Cascadia Council Member Rewards remains. Since that tier is close to running out, I've opened up another tier, Cascadia Council Staff, which is very similar, and unlimited. The only difference between these tiers is the Staff tier books will not be signed.
Along other update lines, last week I shared a couple Reels on Instagram: one on the origins of The Blue Beacon, and another with three things I love about Eola Lightstripe, an American badger who's the novel's central character. Since you possibly didn't see them there, I figured I'd share the Reels with you folks as well.
So that's where we're at as we move toward Week 3. Thanks so much for following along on this campaign. I'm having a blast sharing these stories with you and I can't wait to actually get this book in your hands. Take care, friends!
